This restyling project was designed to rigorously respect the structure of a historic alpine home. Framed by ancient walls and ceilings, the two bathrooms were enriched by the addition of modern and essential furnishings with sophisticated designs and materials.
In the master bathroom a large Corian® bathtub was placed below the central cornice of the ancient ceiling with almost invisible glass walls dividing the space. The large countertop washbasin in Corian® appears to float atop the great suspended vanity. Ancient and modern come together in the guest bathroom in the form of a large shower tray and pedestal sink, both in Corian®. The architect Itta Wackernell chose Planit and Corian® for the custom-made Aquarius bathtub with special recesses for the glazed partitions and LED lighting, the custom-made Sirio washbasin, the Piazza shower tray and the Trench pedestal basin.
