Hotel Tyrol

The Hotel Tyrol has been managed by the same family for generations. The property sits on a sunny hillside in Merano, surrounded by majestic mountains. The hotel is run with a strong dedication to tradition, evident in delicious local dishes and the widespread use of wood finishes, coupled with a spirit of openness toward new influences.
The kitchen has recently incorporated suggestions from Mediterranean recipes and the interiors are finished in a range of different materials.
For eight recently restyled bathrooms, Planit was invited to realise new shower trays in Corian^® Glacier White. From the Linea model the client selected a thermoformed anti-slip wash basin with a step and removable drain cover that makes for easier total cleaning of the drain. The elegant trays are installed flush with the floor, in custom-made dimensions designed to fit each room. The bathrooms were also fitted with top-mount wash basins in Solid Surface opaque white, with a linear form that matches the new wood vanity.
